Alert System The Emergency Alert System (EAS)

health and safety. EAS broadcasts may include warnings

tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes, toxic chemical
spills, radiation emergencies, explosions and fires,
and other disasters that require immediate public
notification.

Alert Systems This All Hazards Alert Radio
can be set to automatically activate and receive
emergency weather or public safety announcements from
the EAS system and NOAA Weather Radio. A standby mode
silences the speaker until an emergency message
triggers the Alert System, which includes a loud
warning tone, a red alert signal and an alert message
on the LCD display
